Seio Flow Rate ?

I have some Seio 820's and 1100's and I'm wondering if these flow ratings are based on running them inside the casing they come in, or out of it? Seems to me they would be moving a good deal more water when used out of the casing. Anyone know how much more?

820gph and 1100gph. It still stays at the same rate due to the size. It doesnt restrict it, just redirects it....or thats what i have been once told.

So you're saying that the flow rate is based on running them outside of the casing that they come in?

edited after u replied again. so pumping so u get the email. From what i was told by a respectable not so local fish store that they have around the same flow. There is no to very little flow lost with the direction nozzle on it due to the size of it. The opening area of the nozzle is greater then the are of the circuler opening. I may be wrong but thats what i was told when i had the same question. Being an architecture student you would think i could figure that out buuutttt its not in the code so ill leave it for an engineer to figure out :P
