I am planning on getting one as well, regardless. I have had 2 820's for 6 months now and the only problem is calicum buildup on the magnet on the impeller, nothing a little elbow grease wont fix.

I turn my 3 820s off every time I feed, or do a water change, and never once has one of them not come back on immediately.
