Seio`s Multicontroller

I dont understand all the complaints about Seio's and wave makers...I have two 620's hooked to a wave maker that switch them off and on every 50 seconds or so...been running them that way for about 3 months now with zero problems

Don't be surpised it the SEIO pumps decided to seize up on you at some point then. Taam even stated that these pumps are NOT to be used with wave timers.

I emailed TAAM this weekend and got a response from them today. It will be release in about 6 to 8 weeks and the price will be around $200. Yipee!

Here is the exact email I got from them.

Hi, Russ:
The Seio Pump Electronic controller would be available in about six to eight
weeks.
The approximated price of retail is about $200.
If there's any questions, please let us know.
Thank you

I think that's a little bit high for what it is capable of doing. It's not excessive but I'd like to see it at about 3/4 of that at best with only being able to control 2 pumps.

I still may get one.

Deuce67 I would appreciate it if you could give me the contact info, I will like to ask them about the controllers properties.

Thanks

Well we will set it at eight weeks to be sure,I may get a mockup copy of the instructions before that to transalate into French,So I will try to post more precise info once I have it.

I just was on the phone with them to find out when its in, 6 to 8 weeks thats around when we will have our shippment they said along with a whole lot of new products.

The controller was complicated to make I was told.It converts 110v to 12volts then bringing it up back up again.

I asked the question of premature pump burnout not a chance,
It will not be able to run Tunzies.
I missunderstood when they explained run different pumps they meant different SEIO models since it has been developed specifically for them.

Have you inquired about whether they will control them independently of one another? In other words, can you set them to alternate? Or do they reduce flow to 30% on both pumps simultaneously?

Thanks for all the follow up and keeping this thread alive.

You cannot set them to alternate,They will reduce and increase the flow simultaneously.
Thats why I will get 2 controllers.

ok well reading those last few replies puts me off an waiting list that would ever come about. what goo is a controller that is supposed to be like a wavemaker when it cant alternate between channels. seems like the didn't go the extra mile or make an effort to make a great product, well at least I know that they are keeping up to "their" standards

Well now this controller looks much less attractive to me knowing this. Talk about fizzling out :(

That's really too bad as it had the potential to be such a great product. There would be no point for me to have 2 pumps revving up and slowing down at the same time :(

Looks like I'm gonna pick up a couple Chauvets and mod them instead. Would be cheaper.

For a larger tank I can see maybe using 2 controllers to control 2 sets of SEIOs but I can't imagine hangin 4 of these behemoths in my tank.
