Selecting fish for a new tank!!!

Hi everyone. This is my first post on these boards. What a great resource for someone new to the hobby. I just set up a 140 Oceanic tank (48ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ wide x 29ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ tall x 19ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ deep.) w/ a 30 gal. sump tank. I have about 160 lbs. of live rock in there now along with about 15 red leg hermits and about 20 margarita snails. I would like to make this into a reef tank and was looking for some suggestions on selection of fish to include. My thoughts were as followsââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦
-Flame Angle
-2 Clowns (percula)
-Powder Blue Tang
-5 to 7 Green Chromis
-Arc Eye or Flame hawk fish
If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. Any additions or subtractions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am actually going to suggest some sort of blenny, but also a question in general if people view this thread. The fact that you will have 5-7 chromis is the biload big for it? I don't understand how people almost never count the chromis into a bioload. But yea blennies are generally nice, hah interesting personalities.

The bioload of 5-6 chromis will be fine for a tank that size.

The fish that you have picked out will do great in your tank. Just be careful with the angel, it may nip at some of the corals that you have. They are generaly a 50/50 chance that it will cause problems with your corals.

I had a flame angel in my 110 reef tank and he picked at polyps and such. Also you may want to reconsider the Powder Blue Tang. They are very susceptible to ich and in a reef tank ich = problems. Maybe try a tang in the genus Zebrasoma, a little hardier and not quite as prone to ich. Good luck

Zebrasoma? Like a yellow tail tang? What about adding a fairy wrasse to the list? My wife is in love with them. But I don't want to create a huge bio-load.

No, he means Tangs like Yellow Tang, Purple, Saifin...In the Zebrasoma genus

Your thinking of a Hippo. that would be fine too;)

On this whole note- which should come first inverts/corals or fish? I do know that this will be a progressive thing that will change and evolve over time, but I just want to try to put the rest together in the best way possible. The tank has been fully cycled for at least 2 and a half to 3 weeks now.
