Are we allowed to sell items in here? I wanted to ask before I put up a thread to sell my Canon macro lens.

Nope.

Selling is only allowed in the selling/trading forums. Also it has to be directly reef related. Selling your lens wouldn't be allowed.

it would be cool if we can at least trade stuff here. cuss I don't go on any other forums (photography wise) so to be able to buy used reef gear and photography gear all on one site would be nice.... but oh well....... things aren't as easy as we want it to be.

It's the slippery slope factor in play. Camera equipment first, then... furniture, then vehicles, then anything marketable... and it all slides off the edge. Being REEF Central, it's really best when we stick to what we're about. The fact that you don't visit other forums is really quite easily resolvable, just go visit one. Then you'd find a whole new Selling forum.
