selling computer fan adapters

I have a couple spare 200ma computer fan adapters, they have the 4 prong computer connector so there is no need for splicing cables and attaching wing nuts. A friend of mine makes them so if anyone needs more than what I have I can get those as well, I also can get 500ma and 1000ma for those of you with bigger fans, I'll try to get a picture up tonight, how do I post pictures on here anyway :-).

I'm currently running 4 of the 200ma off of my 120mm fans and a 500ma off of a 120mm fan as well, the 200ma run the 120mm at about half speed or they should I don't notice much of a difference but then I'm not a wind gauge either.
8 for the 200ma 10 for the 500ma might be able to get a better deal from my friend if I have large orders.

sky craft has some adapters but you would ahve to splice the cords together and wirenut them or use one of those other wire connectors that are more secure and water resistant forget what they are called.
You could wire 4 together from one outlet if the adapter was large enough to handle them but the problem is that they would probably all run at different speeds depending on a bunch of different factors. I would suggest using 1 fan per adapter or oversizing your adapter to cut down on power loss.

Where you looking at getting 4 500ma or 4 200ma, the 200ma won't run the fan at full power but will run it more quietly and in my experience is enough to keep the tank cool enough but if you have heat problems and or have some nice quiet fans then you might want to use the 500ma.

PS I'm not an electrical expert this is just the information my friend has given me or my understand of what he has said, I believe everything to be accurate but if anyone sees something that I am mistaken on please let me know, as nicely as possible as always.

I run two 120mm fans that push 105 cfm off a 1000ma one. You can get a joiner connector or just cut and splice them together. I can't see why a 1000ma wouldn't be able to push 4 in my opinion. I have it tied into my timer on my VHOs so when they cut on or off, the fans follow suit.

my understanding is that when you start splitting the cords into muliple cords they don't carry the same charge due to length connectivity and other stuff that I don't understand also if I'm not mistaken a 120mm fan runs at something like 400ma max (right around there its somewhere in 300 and 400 if I'm not mistaken) so with a 1000ma you could conceivably push 4 but you would be running them at about 40% speed if you were lucky enough to get them all running the same speed.

So if they run at around 400 then I might possibly be able to use one 1200ma adapter assumming one exists. Splicing is not a problem I will solder them together anyways. It is just figuring out what to connect to what? I guess trial and error will tell me that. Thanks for the input guys. keep it coming!

It's easy to connect. Touch the wires together and only one way will make the fan work. I spliced mine all together. I used the silverstone fans.
