selling coral

I am just seeing how many people out there are selling coral. I mean I am not talking about a huge business. I am talking about a basement business and maybe you have a website and you get some coral from wholesalers. If any of you are doing that can you please post pics of your setup, Can you tell me what your most wanted coral that you sell is. Also if you get your coral from a wholesaler which wholesaler do you get them from. I am currently talking to people from www.underwaterworld.com and they seem pretty good but I am not sure though. I couldn't find very many wholesalers. I could only find www.coralplanet.com and they weren't taking any new costumers becasue thye are to busy and www.underwaterworld.com and thye said thye would do business with me. Don't worry this wouldn't be a full time thing. I would make a website and maybe have a few people come over a week. I would come home, relax for a little bit and go downstairs and check on the tanks and see if I have any orders. It wouldn't be a big thing at all. Just a little thing. let me know if you have any input on this

I have never ventured into treating my hobby as a business, but many people have/do.
One thing I would like to point out, is that Reef Central will not provide you free advertizing. Buying a ton of corals and fish from a wholesaler, then trying to sell them here will end in an ugly way for you.
if you really want to make a go of it, don't look at it as something small that you do when you feel like it. Set up your business with a solid business plan. Figure out what advertizing will cost you (let's face it, without advertizing, nobody knows you're selling anything) and figure out whether or not you can actually make money at it.
Too many people get in over their head, expect to sell here, get popped for selling, and banned. They then find themselves in a hole that they can't get out of, and to top all that, they no longer have access to Reef Central.
Take a look at the RC User Agreement before you get yourself into something that you can't get out of.

I don't think you understand. I am not selling fish just coral. NO FISH just coral I am going to sell. Second I am not selling them on reefcentral. I am going to make my own website. I don't think you understood what I meant. I would only have a tank or two with coral in it so we aren't talking 20 tanks. This is just a little side thing for money a couple extra bucks and I think it would be kool do do. I can see all differnt kind of coral and all that kind of stuff. If anyone has had any experience doing this let me know

Take a look through RC's sponsors. Pick the ones that look like small businesses (IE: you aren't looking for Drs. Foster and Smith) and send them an email. Either they will respond, or they won't. You've got nothing to lose by trying.

I would repost in the coral prop and aquaculture forum, you'll find more people there doing what your talking about.
