The pump on my vertex skimmer has died...It ran flawlessly for the first month running non-stop. I unplugged it to do a water change and when I plugged it back in it seemed to only turn on half way. I unplugged and tried it again after a few minutes and it wouldn't come back on at all. I then took it out and cleaned it a bit(it was actually pretty clean to start with) and pulled out the impeller to make sure it was clean. Everything looked perfect. However it will still not turn on, not even a hum...
What do I need to do?

Just waiting to hear back from Proline on a replacement pump, as I do not have any in stock right now. As soon as I hear something I will let you know. in the meantime, I will send out a call tag for you to ship the pump back to me so that I can take a look at it.

Go ahead and keep it for spare parts such as the front plate, venturi, etc.
