I have a black occellaris and a regular occellaris. The black one is the larger female and the orange is the smaller male. They always swim together and do those strange shakes to communicate, so I am assuming they are paired. I want to separate them and keep just the black one, but I am worried they won't do well without each other. Is this too much stress and confusion for them and will they forget that they were paired so that I can repair the black occellaris with a new clownfish? They have only been together for 3 months.
