Seperating growth.

I have a frag of some buttons that has stretched its tentacles out to another rock and started a whole new cluster. The only thing is that I would like to seperate it so that I have 2 seperate pieces and I am not sure of how to go about it. Do u use a razor or scissors? Much help appreciated and are there chances of killing anything off?

You can do both, razors or scissors and try to cut in between the polyps where the tissue is thin....You shouldn't hurt anything, even if you see some cloudy fluid come out of the cut area it should heal just fine....I'm sure you will be OK once you do it you will be trying to cut new frags of stuff to trade in no time....
