Greetings, all. Hope everyone's had a great Summer. Let's cap it off with some reef talk at Dudemeister's place!

What: September meeting
When: Saturday, September 26, 2015
Time: 1-3PM
Where: Westport (I'll send the address via PM if you reply in this thread)

For those that weren't at the annual meeting last year, here's some info about his awesome tank:

Mixed reef: 125 display, 50 gallon sump, Custom LED's, APEX, skimmer, GFO reactor, ATS
45 gallon brackish tank with some cichlids and a 4eyed fish
10 gallon tank species tank with a bumblebee spearer mantis

Looking for volunteers on some activities. I think we discussed refractometer calibration. Let us know what other interesting subjects are out there!

As a CTARS member with a perfect meeting attendance record (none, zero, zilch ) can I show up?

It would be great if Mel could bring some calibration fluid!

Update on the tanks-

-the big one is alive and well and looking for some suggestions on moving the sump to the basement

-gone is the brackish setup- might use the 45 bowfront as sump in the basement for the big tank

-I have my son's 8 gallon nano with some corals in it

-the bumblebee is alive and well but you hardly see him in his full glory (shame)

-added a 5 gallon tank for a little green smasher my son found hitchhiking. Smashers are more fun anyway. Maybe I'll get a goldfish for that day to see if he goes after it!

Looking forward.

Simon - love to have you along!! I was just about to ping you on this. Look forward to hanging out with you all in a few weeks.

Hulk smash!

BTW, a while back I bought 8 chalk basslets. Figured I'd lose a few of them and end up with 5. They didn't co-operate and I still have all 8. Further, they've ended up 2" plus, which is bigger than I had expected. So, other than criticisms of my planning skills, anyone want one (or four)? Happy to provide gratis for a good home (contingent on my ability to catch them). I could bring them to the meeting.

PM's sent. Seems like it'll be a small group but happy to host and show you my tanks.

I'll have some snacks and drinks. See you tomorrow!

It was great getting together and talking about reefs thanks for the hospitality and the frag's dudemeister..... looking forward to the next one

Not sure if simply attending a meeting conveys official membership status (there didn't appear to be any secret handshakes:)), but I'd be happy to host a future meeting.
