September club meeting

I'm surprised about the lack of coordination between the ETRC meetings and UT football. Get your priorities straight, people! :)

Seriously though, how far is the facility from Knoxville? We're hosting the game at 3:30 here at the crib-stead.

Oh, they're straight all-right ;) Meetings are always 3rd Sat. to allow everyone to schedule, although sometimes there are inconveniences.... I've missed my fair-share of ETRC meetings in the name of the UT athletic program; I figure my dues are paid :D

For those wanting to get back to watch the game, would it help if we moved it an hour earlier? I just didn't want to make it too early for those driving (allow ~1hr from W. Knoxville).

Thanks Dana, frosty beverages are a go, but unfortunately we don't have a (big) TV at the hatchery, only a small one in one of the offices. Trey wanted to get a big plasma screen for the kitchen, but we haven't gotten-around to it yet :)

great matt! i'm up for an earlier time. i'd say the earlier the better. i still need an address or directions too. thanks!

Ok, how about a 12:00 lunchtime meeting then?

I've sent directions to be posted on the ETRC website. You can also find the address on our website www.sustainableaquatics.com under "Contact Us."

It is pretty much a straight-shot from the interstate with only one turn onto Old AJ from 11-E/Asheville Hwy:

From Interstate 40 (or likely 640) going East from Knoxville, take Exit 394 (Asheville Hwy, US-11E). This is the first exit after 640 re-joins 40. Make a left at the bottom of the exit and take 11-E for 20 miles. This will take you through Strawberry Plains, New Market (don't speed here!), and to the edge of Jefferson City. Make a left turn onto Old Andrew Johnson Hwy (at the traffic light opposite the hospital). Take Old AJ for 1.9 miles, and SA will be on the left-hand side.

There is a sign out-front that says "Sustainable Aquatics."

The best place to park is probably on the slanted parking-lot just east of the building. We will have the blue side-door open for people to come in.

I'm carpooling... :D Especially at $4.50/g...

Kim, Patrick, Ashley and I will be riding up... :)

I do need to figure out the game situation though... As that is a deal breaker for me... I guess I could come from 12-2... ;)

Steph and I can pick up/drop off anyone between Bearden Hill area of West Knox and the facility that is roughly on the way. PM if you need a ride (up to 3 people).

$4.50/g sucks, but our car gets 35mpg.

We'll be doing the 12-2:15ish as well.

Eddie...I thought you and I were carpooling!

I am fine with carpooling if someone wants to pick me up or to come here and ride with me. I live about 3 miles off the interstate off Chapman Hwy.

If no one wants to carpool with me, then that's fine...no biggie.

edit: not sure at this point what I'll be bringing. Anyone object to cheese dip (if I go)?

Mel

You and I are carpooling. Are you looking for someone else now?:D

I think David Sease is riding with us. The is room for two more.

Eddie

I will bring some cookies or something along those lines.

Why are you in such a rush Randy?? Don't you know it will be a bad day to be a vol fan???

The worst day being a Vol fan is still better than being a Ga fan... ;) That and I still want to support my team... I just want to see them put forth the effort... Try and keep it close... Maybe pull one out their @ss... :) The Vols fairly well thumped a neighboring team to the south of us last year... I think it was somewhere between TN and FL... :D

Even I say being a Vol fan is better than being a Dawg fan. ;)

(Not that I have much use for either) *GRIN*

.

LOL!! A thumping is an understatement. I am like you I hope it is at least a close game. Atleast your playing at home.

Cool, Eddie, that's great. I need to send you directions!
