September meeting check in poll

Just trying to get a head count as to who will be at the meeting and who will want to buy some of the reef tank food we will be making at the meeting.

This months meeting, Mantis, from CORA will be down to show us how to make a mixed reef food for our tanks. Were trying to get a heads up as to how much food he should bring to mix together and what the price will then be for the club members.

You can freeze the food and save if for later.

On the "poll" Why is the option of " No I wont be attending " even an option...that would change all the percentages...It's like voting for Ross Perot...Stay at home ....You don't know what your missing or.... what your reef will be missing.

I plan on being there, and was wondering what the ingredients are going to be? Similar to Rod's food?

Hopefully mantis will chime in here on that, but Yeah I'm guessing something similar to Rod's reef probably a few extras in there too.

Erik, I have a "fish food only" new food processor that I am willing to bring if anyone will be needing it. I have only used it a couple times to make a few lbs of the frozen food.

Also, there are differing opinions on using ingredients not found in nature like carrots and broccoli as they would never have been fish food unless a cruise ship dumped them overboard

I used nori as the only vegetable in my food since I wasn't sure any of my fish would eat the others and I didn't want chunks of decomposing veggies in the water.

Hopefully Mantis will let us know what is going in this batch before people commit to paying for a portion.
