Guys as you know last month we had a picnic scheduled for the club. This meeting was suppose to be to a time just to get together and hang and just be fun. That was what was asked for when we took office. More meetings that are not just all around fish and reefs. So we did that. We had also asked for members to come so that we could start thinking and planning the frag swap. Needless to say that there was a very dismal turnout to this meeting. When i say dismal i mean three of us.
So here is where stand on the September meeting we are open to suggestions as to a meeting place. We would like to have a picnic again but if there is not going to be anyone show up then we don't want to schedule and book the place again. We really need 15-20 people to show up to this meeting to help with getting some ideas and just feedback on the frag swap. If we cant get 15 people at a non-fish store meeting then we really don't need to be wasting the clubs money on a meeting. It just cost to much to book places and estimate food for people that are not going to be there. The same goes for planning a frag swap we cant be out there booking people and a place if there is not going to be anyone to come. And if i were to use the past meeting attendance as an indicator of frag swap participation then i would say that there would not be enough people to put it on. Now you can take that how you want to but the fact of the matter is that this is your club and you have asked us as the board to do certain things and we have done. So now the board is asking you to participate in the September meeting to help us plan. So please lets all try to get together in September and see what we can come up with and just have a good time. We will be looking for a late september meeting so we will be trying to plan this by the first week of September.
