September meeting!

Just a reminder that the September meeting is right around the corner!



The meeting will feature Joe Yaiullo he will presenting on his 20,000 gal reef system. Joe is the curatoe and co-founder of Atantis Marine World Aquarium.

I seen Joe give this presentation a few years ago in Cleveland and the tank was still in it's infancy. I cannot wait to see some updated pics!

I am happy to say I will be attending my first CORA meeting. It will be nice to put a face to some of the names.
I have met a few member so far, but I look forward to meeting many more.
Plus I can't wait to hear Joe's talk.

Dang and I had it all planned out on how to leave work a little early and make it around the corner to the meeting now it will be over by the time I get there.

 

[Easily Distracted]

I am gonna be there. I have been to the facility a few times and have been backstage and above the reef tank with the Long Island Reef Club and the pictures do not do it justice. The facility is incredible and MUCH more than just a huge reef tank. It's an entire learning center with specimen exhibits, educational boat tours from the dock in back, huge 2 story shark tank, etc....

Great talk and thanks a bunch Joe: Your a really down to earth type of guy. I'm the guy who sat up fromt and asked all the questions. Beautiful tank, I'm going to have to find something they need me to fix on long island.

Joe has seen a number of member's tanks, a few local shops, and Ramon's tank at the zoo.

On Sunday we'll be hitting a few more hobbyist tanks and finishing up at the GCAS meeting.
