Septopus Questions and ID

I got a septopus today (octo minus 1 leg ). Just had some general questions about handling and care.

I have krill, snails, hermits, and frozen jumbo shrimp for food. Any other suggestions? I also have a ton of frozen yellowtail and mahi mahi. Are these ok?

Are there any handling do's and don'ts? Is it safe to feed or play with my octo by hand?

I'll have some photos soon for ID but in the mean time... It's a medium to light brown normally and can go from almost white to almost black. It has a mottled camo looking skin with some light striping. It's about 10-12 inches when opened. Any idea?

I noticed that one leg is quite a bit smaller than the rest. Do the legs regenerate if lost? If so how long will this take?

sweet septopus are they the same as octopus? do they only have 7 legs instead of 8?

Looks like A. aculeatus- they're arm-droppers, so a missing arm (or two, or three) isn't uncommon.
