Sequence Dart Plumbing (basic)

Since the Dart has a 2" intake and a 1.5" output, do I need to double the plumbing to a 4" intake and a 3" output like I do for Mag-drive pumps? Or would I be fine running a 2" intake and a 1.5" output?

if you can get a straight shot on your intake to the bulkhead i'd go with the standard 2" intake. this means no 90's, 45's etc. otherwise you can upsize the intake or add an additional feed bulkhead to avoid any cavitation issues.

for the output, 1.5" is fine. there is a significant loss in flow ~40% if you use anything smaller. this is due to the dart being a flow pump, not a pressure rated one.

I'm plumbing a dart this weekend that will be under the tank and will have to be 45'd down both intake and output. I have a 2" bulkhead drilled for intake, does this mean I should add an additional 1" bulkhead inline with the intake?
