Here are the first pictures of the prototype Reeflo Orca 200 skimmer that we are testing. The unit has been running for about 2.5 days now, and has definitely sparked a lot of interest around the warehouse over the weekend here!
The specs on the unit are as follows:
-Footprint: 14.5" x 17"
-Overall Height: 27.25"
-Chamber Size: 8" x 12" with 3.5" bubble plate (difuser)
-Neck & Riser: 4" x 8" (note prototype has 3" neck, production model will have 4" neck)
Pump: Sequence Reeflo Dart Needlewheel (restricted)
Air Intake: 1500 LPH
Wattage: 100w - 125w
Water Flow Through: 200gph - 700gph
Tank Size: 150gal - 500gal
Intro Price: $849.00
Guys... if you're looking for one bad (you know what skimmer), then this is it! 1500lph air in this size chamber is just ridiculous to say the least! We are currently testing the unit on about 250gal of water, and we are going to try and push it all the way up to about 650gal to 700gal just to see how it performs. Right now, I would have no problems running this on a 500gal moderately stocked tank.
Please note that the unit pictured has a 3" neck on it, but the actual production model which is targeted to be released the end of this month will have a 4" neck on it. I am currently getting the flow through dialed in on this unit as well. You can also see that the water level I am currently running inside the body is about .5" to .75" BELOW the neck. That gives you an idea of how much air this thing is pulling! I will update with more pictures as time goes.
