serious problem - need advise

I have been having some on going issues with my tank that I can't identify. Parameters are all well within the normal range so I think I must have something in the system somewhere that is causing problems. What would make corals in the pocilloporidae family like s.calliendrum and other similar species that look fine with polyps extended but the polyps actually "blow off" leaving bare white skeleton when I use a turkey baster to blow the "dust" off the base rock and accidently blast the coral? I've never seen anything like this and it's driving me crazy!

poccis have a tendency to spawn and show up growing EVERYWHERE as the colonies get larger. Maybe you just basted the a few hours before they were going to spawn?

Where the polyps flew off, is the coral now dead there or is it regrowing?

I have a large green pocci that died off in the center but is now the rest is growing up around it for no good reason to me.

I honestly doubt that it's from it preparing to spawn. After the polyps sluff off that area is dead.

I hope you find out what's going on... your tanks are an inspiration to me, it'd be a shame if anything was to happen...
