Serpent star hitchhiker?

Saw this thing come out while I was feeding the fish? Serpent star? Legs are maybe 1/4-1/2". I just caught the very small body but couldn't get a pick.

Is it good, bad or just something fun to watch?

likely a mini brittle star. good.

as far as I know they're harmless, good detritus eaters, mostly hang out in the rocks and grab food when available.

Ha I bought them this way. I figured the LFS would have paired them accordingly.

Can I remove them from the water to separate them? If so how long can they be out of water before being harmed?

What do you use to "glue them to your live rock under water. Or do you just use super glue out of water?

You should dip your corals with revive or other to kill parasites and other unwanted hikers prior to adding them to your tank
