Serpent Star Legs......

Now I realize the title is weird enough, but as I was unsuccessfully trying to catch my green serpent star I pulled off 2 legs. This serpent is 2' tip to tip and I ended up with two 3-4" pieces. For some unknown reason I decided to put the legs in my fuge (55 gallon) and they have been in their for over 2 weeks. I only see one and it stills moves and responds to touch. Is this common? Mutant radioactive super serpent legs? Should I evacuate the family, block, city?

Really, I just thought it was just too strange not to share. And I still haven't caught the fish eating bastard.

yea its from all the nucular testing....that is wild tho, didnt any1 warn you bout the green stars? if u have peppermint shrimp pull those to, they like shrooms, zoo's, snails, found out the hardway, i pulled all of my lr with peppermint shrimp left and let my lion fish eat them

Starfish can regenerate, and if a part of the main body gets torn off with a leg, the leg can regenerate a whole new starfish. I'm not saying that's what's happening here, but could definitely be a possibility.

Yes I was warned about the serpent. I had him in my 75 for over a year without any casualties. I liked him and figured quite incorrectly that he would be even less prone to eat things in the bigger tank, NOT.... My arrow crab ate my peppermint shrimp. I just want to move him into my fuge.

Crabs are EVIL, if u want star fish for cleaning get a black brittle or serpant, orange linka's do a hell of a job on the glass., emerald crabs dont trust them, best snails trouchus sp? cerith and astria

I fry my star legs in oil and serve them with chips! lol Stars kill refugs, so I'd avoid that if you want worms, and bugs and pods.

Update, I can only find one but it is still fully moving and alive(?). Poke it with the end of a net and it curls and wriggles.

How long should/will this go on?

Head for the hills...........ITS ALIVE!!!!!!
