BTW, the candycane's you gave me have opened up huge. And the ones that were really hurting are making a strong comeback.
 
got to love the algae. i just started algae fix by aip. i am hoping for the best.

great to hear the candycane is doing well.
 
my DIY skimmer is skimming a little better. 5 gal last night skimmate. very wet med green /brown color. I am making more water and then will give it a try set to drier:)

thanks a lot. i think the skimmate is a result of dosing vinegar/vodka. it smells worse than it looks. i am blessed to have a basement fish room or the wife would thump me!

the rock wall build was fun. i did learn not to use the foam to attach the eggcrate to the back wall. it does not hold well. i would use silicone if i did it over.
