Setting up a new qt

Hello everyone

Im looking to setup a qt because ich just appeared on my fish a couple days ago. I want to leave my tank fishless in order to rid my dt of ich. I set up a 10 gallon qt for my maroon clown and swallow tail angel. Im using a hang on back filter with small peices of live rock from my dt in it and i used water from my dt. Im not sure what the best approach would be to keep this tank stable while i treat. Im worried ill see an ammonia spike soon since it it not cycled, anyway to prevent this? Also, what would be the best treatment for ich while in this qt.....hypo, copper, fw dip? Also, only my maroon is showing signs of ich, but im sure the angel has it as well.

Please help...thank you.

Ammolock and water changes are really the only thing you can do to keep the water stable. You can also try cycling with a bacteria product like Stability from seachem, although that still takes about a week to start working too. Copper or tank transfer are probably the two most used treatments. Read the stickies
