Setting up new 120

Hey guys, I bought this tank from mjntwise. This is my first time setting up a large tank so I'm looking for opinions.

The following is what I plan on using

Euro reef 180 skimmer

Jebao dc6000 return pump

Either 2x jebao wp25 or 1x jebao rw15

2x ocean revive led arctic t247

The tank came with a 20 long sump which is probably small, what I was thinking is that since I have an extra 20 long also could is drill the side even with the other ( it's already drilled because it was part of another system) then hook the two together to essentially have a 40 long? I can't just use a 40b because the stand that was made for the tank already is a little narrow to fit one.

Everything sounds good. I did the sump thing you are talking about a while back when I had my 135. I used 2-29g and plumbed them together. It looked ghetto but worked fine. I would use one 20 long for just a fuge and the other 20 long for your sump to house the skimmer, return pump, heater, ATO, etc.

Would the rw15 plus two returns be enough to stop detritus from settling on the opposite side of the tank?

Definitely RW pumps!
You might want RW-8 though, idk up to you

I'm thinking its better to have the two but it's a little cheaper to get the single rw15

on a 120 I would go with two RW-15. I have MP40 and WP-25 on my 120 and would prefer two MP40s but that is alot of money I don't want to spend. On my 300 new build, I have bought two RW-20s to start with and if needed, add in the MP40. Just my two pennies worth.

Yeah might need two rw15 then as My tank is 60" long
