Setting Up Sump/Skimmer Pumps

Hi folks... got the ProfiLux in last night. It's pretty intense reading! I manager to get the temp/Ph running, as well as my heater, fan, and supplement lights on the digital power bar.

I'd like to add my pumps for the sump and skimmer to the setup. I am not sure how to best achieve this. I thought I was supposed to confiure these as "Water" under "Socket Function" of the "Extras" menu, but I now realize that Water is reserved for the level function.

I don't think I want to set these as a "Current" pump, do I? I don't need to ebb and flow the strength or power to create a pulse. My key need is to be able to quickly kill the pumps when I place the unit in Feed mode. Advice? thx...

set socket to timer 1 or one of the 8 timers, and then in that set what times you want the pumps on and off and in the timer menu you can set the feed pause info

Aha! That will rock. thx!

Aslo, does my version have Tunze control? In other words, do I need anything other than the cable?

Ugh.... Kinda messed up, and decided to do a factory reset.

Does that mean I have to recalibrate my Ph?

Also, do I use the "timer" function for my traditional lights as well?

For your traditional lights you enter it under its socket to Illumination and a number. Then go to that specific illumination to set the on/off times.

but It would also work under timers

That helped with the lights... thx!

Next, the pumps.

Here's a question: since I did the reset, every time I hit a button, the unit beeps. Any idea how to turn that beep off?

OK, but I want these pumps running 100% of the time -- never going off unless I am in feed mode. How/why would I set a timer? Or should I set the device to "filter" instead?

P.S. OK, did "filter" and that seems to do it. Now I just have to hook up a PC to get rid of that annoying beep! LOL! And my work laptop won't let me load the control software. Looks like another project!

One last question: Do I have to calibrate Ph again since I did a reset to factory settings? I assume the answer is yes, but just want to be sure. thx....
