settings for wave action

Iam currently using 2 6101's with controller in my 135 they are placed on the side walls towards the front glass with flow pointed towards rock. What would the best placement and settings be to create a back and forth wave motion? I would try a wave maker but the tank is only 18in wide and 3/8 thick and have read not use a WM with the thinner glass plus not a lot of room due to narrow tank.....so any suggestions on settings???? thanks for input and happy new year!!

You can play around with the interval knob the second one on the left hand side. turn it counter clockwise and slowly adjust till you get the right frequency. By doing that, you may harm the pump and will take the chance to break your magnet holder... just my .02 cent

I have mine set up going the length of my tank,

I have a 90 AGA or 48x24x24 My understanding of the wave box is the frequency of the start stop of the motor you need a certain distance. You most likely will need to put in on the ends of your tanks rather than the back.

With only 18 inches I dont think you will have enough distance for the frequency with the pump

My PH's are on the end walls facing toward the center back wall, should I try aiming them straight towards each other?

Jar*Head...what damage could I do using the controller designed to be used with these PH's does cycling them on and off really hurt them?

If you have them set in shorter interval I.E 5 sec interval. It may shorten the life of your pump. I understand the pump and controller is designed to run interval but not at every interval. Do i make any sense?

Interval 1 just means more cleaning, it doesn't shorten pump life per se but the calcium builds up faster if the pumps are turned off vs keeping them running.
