Setup advice?

Roger:

Thought I'd post the question here as answer may help others in future.

My setup: a 5x2x2 SPS tank.

Equipment: 1 6215 Wavebox, on left side near back.
1 6205, currently on back wall near right side, as close to the water surface as practical, angled as sharply to the left as I can.
1 6105, currently on back wall near left side, as close to the water surface as practical, angled as sharply to the right as I can.
1 7095 multicontroller

Questions:
1) The Wavebox will remain where it is. What is the optimal placement of the 6205 and 6105?
2) In that optimal placement what is the best setting arrangement on the 7095?
3) If I leave the existing placement what is the best setting on the 7095?

My goal is the biggest wave I can get and good random flow across the tank.

Thanks!!!

I might reverse it so the 6205 is nearest the wavebox, this will likely have a marginal increase in wave height, maybe 1/8". I would change the angles so they hit the front of the tank about 4ft away from the opposite corner. Interval 2 with a 6hr interval and 3 second pulse is generally the best set up.

Ah. I have it I think on 1, in 30sec intervals with a short pulse. I think. Have to check when get home.

Problem with the angling is the effect on my sandbed. Even as is the disruption is enough that I have to dial back the power on the pumps quite a bit.

Thanks! I'll play!

Interval 2. I had it on like 60sec though interval with a 3sec pulse. Switched that.

Oddly, even lowering the pumps and angling up the effect on the sand in the middle front of the tank is the same. I don't get it. Can't get it to stop blowing around. I'll keep tinkering.

Thanks! I like the look of the pumps angling up ... the surface is nuts, esp with a 1.25" wave!
