Sexing pistol shrimp

Does anyone know definitively whether pistol shrimp can be sexed through their claws? I've read annecdotal evidence which suggests its related to the side the main claw is on and that for a pair you need two with different claws, opposites attract and all that.
I have two Randals pistols that i'd like to pair and they do have different sided claws. There is no way i can view them both to compare other features such as body wide etc and would rather keep them both singerly than risk losing them.
So any ideas.

No clue but to be hoenst I don't think pistol shrimp will kill each other. They really can't kill much if anything at all for the most part.

That's not really my experience tbh. I've seen them sparing and even seen linbs removed.

If you're lucky, pistols will get along. If you're unlucky, they attack eachother. In a large enough tank, they have plenty of room to stay away from eachother.
