Sexy Shrimp Care

Im looking into getting 3 sexy shrimp for my 29long. I've read they almost "prefer" smaller aquariums like a 10g or the like. Is there any reason that they would not do well in a larger tank.

Also would my 2 chromis' or YWG bother them since their so small?

possibly because they can find food bits easier. I target fed mine. once i stopped doing that they disappeared.

your two chromis will bug each other more than the shrimp. the chromis are plankton eaters. YWG might pose a threat

I dont see the problem in keeping sexy shrimp in a large tank. I have two small ones in my 46 gallon tank with so many possible "predators" like my large Coral Banded Shrimp and my Diamond Watchman Goby.

They have been in the tank for maybe 2 months and I have not seen any problems. And I haven't ever individually fed them, they are able to fiind food in my large tank.

I have many small fish in my tank including a Green Chromis. And they pay no interest in my sexy shrimp.

I have 2 in my 29 and they are so much fun to watch, mine have hosted in my frogspawn but are out and about all day. i don't do anything special for them and as long as you don't have any fish that are known to eat ornamental shrimp i think your ok. i think the problem with them in a larger tank is that you may not see them too often. here are my 2

You could get any coral, it doesnt matter. Mine seem to prefer my frogspawn and branching leather coral and my duncan. Mainly LPS. Good luck.

Easier for them to get food in a smaller tank. You can target feed if you want in a larger tank, but it could become a hassle.
