It's comin along. Only having small problem with some hair algae. Other than that no complaints. Ponies look happy to me!

Dude you gotta get those seahorses some more food. They are scary thin. Maybe feed more times a day. Also what food are you feeding?

Tank looks great. Will be awesome when your gardens fill in for sure. Some very nice choices.

Nice work.

I just got them maybe 3 weeks ago. I feed mysis and brine and have 2 refugiums. They eat like crazy. I'll have to go to twice a day. I thought the 2 fuges would suffice, but I was afraid they were lookin a little skinny. Thanks for confirming it. I'll ramp up the feeding.

Any suggestions on what else to feed???

I would feed PE mysis at least twice a day, if not three or four times until they put on some weight. Then twice a day from there forth.

Brine is not a good food source, they can't really digest it well and it is void of vitamins unless it is enriched.

You've had them for three weeks, what was the source? Did you treat them for internal parasites?

Even with the refugiu seahorses really do best longeterm with multiple feedings IME.

I would feed 1/2 a cube of mysis per seahorse, per feeding if that makes sense.

Best of luck.

I agree the horses are too thin and need more nutrition.

I have another concern I wanted to mention. In photo # 7, is that a live Condy anemone in the background? If so it needs to be removed before your horses get stung. Anything that can sting should not be kept with seahorses. They will try to hitch to any and everything in the tank.

Yeah, I believe I nailed that aiptasia. I've been keeping a close eye and taking any that I see OUT!

I'll be workin on fattening them up. Hopefully I can post a pic in a few weeks where they're showing a few extra chins :D

Extra chins are always cute.

Really try to be extra diligent about the aiptasia. They can actually kill seahorses, especially if the seahorse is already in a weakend state. I know I'm preaching to the choir.

Did you treat the seahorses for parasites on arrival?
