Is the temp tank for holding the shark even set up yet? If not do not bother to get the shark for you will definitely kill it. Sharks need stable water conditions and very good filtration. Any thing less, even for 2-3 months, will be a death sentance to the shark. As was said before, slow down and take your time. Nothing good ever happens quickly in this hobby.

Remember even if the 70 is just temp sharks produce alot of waste it could potentially kill everything in your tank

My LFS had about a foot long shark in a 100 gallon tank and in about a month it started to look like death was coming so they gave it to a friend of mine to take for like 150$. The shark is still doing great, but the thing is, 70 is too small for 2-3 months... try to get at least a 180 keeping in mind that it will grow while you have it. Fine white sand works well with sharks, also you might have to remove most of your rockwork to let the shark swim. This will effect your water quality and imo, will not turn out that well for you or the shark, your friend might be cool with it tho.

Do you even have any concept how much it will cost to run a 300 gal tank and all the equipment that goes along with it?

How far have you thought this through?

And 3000 gallons? My goodness...you must have near unlimited money to even consider something like that. I believe that would cost more to run than I pay for my home mortgage.

You see it is meh friend in a pet shop and the shark is going in my 1 year old tank 0 every thing and I have a filter rated to 150 gallons and I do water changes my dad is the one with all the cash surgeon and he will have the 300 the 3000 will come if we ever move and stay there so yeah it will be the only fish in the 300 except a few chromis don't mean to sound pushy just tryin to help out a friend but thanks for the concern you guys rock the 70 has nothing in there but a few chromis the stocking for then300 is 10 to 15 chromis and the shark the 300 has a 36 inch front to back tanks again
