Shark in a 20

That guy was just trying to start crap on here.

I have kept them in a 20 gallon though. Only when first hatched for about a month until they were eating on their own and then i added them to a bigger tank (200+).

Wow, can't wait to see when the shark can't turn around in it's tank, and if he left it in the 20g then it's going to reach 4' in a 2' wide tank. Man, I hate to see that happen to the poor shark.

that woudl be sad but i am sure he is just messing with us and trying to start trouble b/c he knows we care here..

damn, they close the thread, I wanted to give him my number so when it outgrows the tank, I could get a free shark:rolleyes:

I don't understand how he figures a 100g tank would help out his cause with a 3ft shark? 100 gallon tank is 4ft long x 2 x2. So, it has a few inches before it has to make a tight turn.

Of the 3 or 4 species suitable for home aquaria, i thought the rule was a minimum open sandbottom 16sqft, implying preferably close to 8ft in length.

That's like telling this guy we'll give him a 6ft x 2ft x 3ft room to live in for the rest of his life. Not only the size is a factor, but the water volume able to disperse the incredibly waste they excrete.

240g with sparse liverock at a minimum I'd say... 300+ better!!!

id hope to agree with you there baldomero, but I got my bamboo from a guy who kept it in a 20g Long tank...Its hard to tell if people are seriuos and dumb, or just trying to get a rise out a ppl, but i hope your right.

Someguy wrote into Webwetmedia asking what to do with a 3ft blacktip reefshark that they hatched in their 200g tank a few months back.

Thankfully, he got in touch with the city aquarium that took it off his hands for him.
