So I bought an egg at the beginning of August. Today I put the egg in a clear bucket and put him over a light. I guess It was an ultra sound lol....sorry. I could see him breathing and I think I found the yoke. The yoke was really small. Dose that mean he is almost ready to hatch? Also I want him to go full term and break out on his own. It seems 50/50 on letting him do that on his own or cutting him out. Oh! The yoke was about the size of my pinky nail or a pinto bean.

Most can be cut with a little yolk left. be sure and have a wide variety of food ready for when it hatches, even live foods. they can be very finicky at first.
What like shrimp and squid?

Krill, squid, clam, silversides for frozen. live feeder shrimp are what most start on though.
could I use ghost shrimp? What about the clam that is in a half shell?

Yes, I've used ghost shrimp and also the saltwater version as well. clams on a half she'll once they start eating dead stuff.

This concerns me, too. Live food is pretty easy to obtain, but these animals have needs beyond food. We have not been told what type of shark we're talking about. They are (sharks in general) voracious and sloppy eaters. Because of this, providing adequate filtration is challenging. They also require space, a lot of space, more than the majority of hobbyists are able to provide.
If you have adequate filtration and space, you're off to a good start, if you're working with less than 220 gallons, you are probably in over your head already.
