shark question

i got a question about a bamboo shark. I came in one day and his egg was floating. for fear that his head was in air i spotlighted the egg to see where his head was and sure enuff his head was out of the water. so i cut him out of his egg. with his yolk still attatched and the same size as his body. he is in a 10 gallon tank all by himself doing fine now. his yolk is almost gone, its been amazing to watch him over the last month, and i was wondering if anyone had ever done something like this before?

Hi there....

I have done the same before with a bamboo shark when the egg I aquired had been cut open ? Anywho it worked fine and the shark developed well..best of luck..

In your situation however all you would have needed to do is submerge the egg and gently squeeze the egg and the air would have bubbled right out...

BTW...I do not know if you realized but a question like this may have been better asked in the aggressive fish forums...
