Sharkman's 130 gal in wall tank build...

actually now re-read yr statement. Nah if i point the powerheads level, there wont be enough flow down below especially by the base of the rock and corners of the glass.

Why not move the powerheads lower so that you don't need to point them down and blow your sand around like that?

Nothing ruins a nice reefscape like a dirty big mound of sand and bare glass patches...

cleaned up and old 40 gal i had lying around, installed some baffles and voila...

good choice in protein powder lol, its what I use also:p

Looks great! Got some diatoms happening there, I see...should go away soon. When are you going to fill up all the way?

That's a good-sized HOB skimmer. I'm eager to see what it pulls.

Thanks man, Definitely got some diatoms going on there, has been a bad week for me though didnt do a thing except put on the frame, dont ever get kidney stones its excruciating so basically been bed ridden all week.

Actually it was filled up, what yr seeing there is evaporation from 6 days worth. Havent set up my ato as yet so im guessing my salinity may be creeping up.

Actually thats the HOB for my 75 gal its an eshopps, it pulls really decent skimmate however for a while now im getting mostly wet skimming. Its just temporary till i get my reef octopus extreme to put in the sump.

hey man, long time i havent been on RC got caught up with work, school n exams and stuff.

i finally got my 250 gallon reef octopus and ive finished my plumbing etc. i added my chaetomorpha to the section in the sump (the very little piece i was able to get from a friend of mine) however i expect it to multiply very rapidly. i still need to get a sump light and timer though. What wattage bulb do you recommend i use?

since the last set of pics ive added 5 chromis, 2 true perculas, a flame angel and foxface rabbitfish. At the moment i only feed spectrum pellets and nori algae, but im looking to truly diversify the range of foods i feed.

I still need a to get a chiller in order to get my first piece of coral so i guess thats my next big purchase but the cost including shipping and taxes from the US is veryyy hefty.

Ill follow up with some pics soon. :)

yeh i stalled for a while, but im back on track now. Had some algae and phosphate issues also when i went on vacation my snowflake eel and flame angel died :(.

So im on the rebound now, i look to yr tank thread for inspiration ever so often.

Its still a challenge getting any good coral as we have no decent LFS here in Trinidad and to ship a chiller from the US cost me over $7k. Im getting there bit by bit though :)
