Shattered my heater and need a new one.

Yes, I made a very dumb move and shattered the heater in my sump. Lesson learned, never drain your sump for a water change below the warm heater and then dump cold RO water in it. Heater goes BOOM! and smokes like you are ready to fry an egg on it.

With that being said, does anyone have a heater laying around that they would like to get rid of for cheap. I just went up to the Jungle and bought a starfish, flame scallop and some other stuff and blew the majority of my cash. If anyone has about a 200 watt for around $10 - 15 let me know.

I have a 300 watt you may borrow until you can get one, I keep this one for swaps. But you are welcome to borrow it for a few weeks.

FWIW, Anthony, I would highly recommend the Stealth heaters. They're thermoplastic (so they can't shatter... at least not like the glass ones ) and actually turn themselves off if they're out of the water. They're not too much more than glass heaters if you get them online... well worth it!

Thank you Norman. Let me know where I can meet you and I will borrow it from you this weekend. My temperature dropped about 4 degrees since the incident last night, so I need to get one in there.

I was looking at Drs. Foster & Smith this afternoon and saw one on there for a decent price, but it will be next before I can snag one. Thank you for the advice.
