It's well worth the visit. All of the shots here were limited to the newest "Wild Reef" exhibit. There's also a massive caribbean reef, a million gallon oceanarium with sea otters, white sided dolphins, beluga whales and penguins. An amazon gallery with aviary. What's great about the Shedd is that it has preserved a lot of the original aquarium from the 1920's so there's several galleries of smaller biotope tanks that can provide a lot of inspiration to the home aquarist. There's an asian stream tank planted with water lillies and stocked with barbs & rasboras that I'm waiting for an excuse to recreate.
