ever heard of or seen this? got some new zoas and it looks like this is happening they all opened with like 20 minutes and look greatand healthy. I also noticed to polyp sized areas one was white and one was a yellowish color. I checked them out and they seemed to be part of the colony. hmmm? and thoughts? I will try to get a pick tomorrow.

If it's a polyp size patch, just use a dedicated set of tweezers and remove it. It's the quickest way to stop/prevent a miner situation from becoming much worse. It could be a single polyp that has bleached, died, decaying, first sign of BI or a Fungus. My philosophy, if I don't know what it is, I remove it, period. Good luck.

I have also had some that had rough shipping and shedded in my tank. After a weird layer or tissue was shedded off the polyp, it opened up and looked great. Could it sometimes be a way to heal a damaged polyp?
