Shell turning black at top/middle

Hello i have a squami, its 4-5''. Its been doing great lately untill i noticed this i guess. On 1 side of the clam, the upper middle part of the shell where the new growth should be is turning BLACK.
It almost looks like its rotting. But on the ends of the black side its growing.

However the other side has great growth layers. Already compleating 2 new scutes ( blades on shell) in 6 months ( 1/2'').

I feed the tank Dt phyto, kent zoo plex, brine, mysis, roto's, and selcon all soaked together.

And the mattle still expands and is not to agitated by flow.

i will have to work on that.

i have been having problam balancing my CAL/ALK.
But i think it was from haveing very little MAG. levels. I had started doseing kent Mag. supplement last Thur. and CAL/ALK are stabalizing.

But even with the levels out of wack the side growing well didn't look affected.
