I just got a new toy for my Vortech and I love it.
I used multiple Vortech for all my tanks. The problem is if I have it too high up, whirlpool formed and the pumps (especially MP10 and MP60) suck in air and make a mess.
If I keep my MP60 less than 18 inches from the top of the water, at 100% it will suck in air.
To solve this problem, I got a nifty shields for my MP10 and MP60 from PicoAquariums.com. It is a nice little shield that looks great and will solve this problem. I now have my MP60 12 inches from the top with no problem. This give my tank plenty circulation where I needed it while leave my sand along. My clams and Carpet doing great because they don't need the high circulation where they are.
