Shipping clowns with anemone?

I am getting a pair of very rare clownfish, and the shipper is thinking about shipping the fish and a RBTA in each bag to lessen the stress of shipping. I am thinking that the anemone will produce waste which will be harmful to the fish in such a small amount of water. Has anyone ever heard of this practice?

I would not ship the fish with the anemone. I agree with you, in a shipping bag, the anemone would be of no help, but will hurt the fish due to the increase waste, and increase Oxygen demand.

Yep, agree with Minh.

Yeah, I wouldn't want the anemone with the fish. I think that would be detrimental to the all involved.

I agree with the others, but wonder what (if anything) you could ship them with that would help and not pose a danger. I use calupera for clowns when they have to hang out in a bucket, bag, or unfurnished tank for a while. It gives them a place to hide and rub into, but is close to the density of water so it won't crush them nor leave them high and dry. I would worry about it going sexual on a long trip. Maybe one of those silicone toy balls with the tentacles that can be used as anemone substitutes?

They are a pair of spawning Leucokranos clowns. I think they should be fine in bags alone. It will be totally dark in the shipping box and they will have an anemone in their new tank. Thanks for all of the input!
