does anyone have experience shipping corals? if so just give me the run down.

where do i get heat packs? local?

I've got 10, I think, 40 hour ones. I ordered them online. Not sure on local, but sporting goods stores might have some. You just need to watch out for the shorter lived ones, as those get too hot quickly, then run out of juice. So, you cook the corals, then let them freeze.
If you want to wait til friday, I can bring a few over to the meeting. Just let me know how many you want.

That's a great find. They're are a bunch of places, but I think I just ordered some heat packs from my last Aquarium Specialty order. I can bring you 5.
That green acro didn't make it, but the others were fine. You can have the heat packs, but I do want to get a couple of polyps of those blue orgasms. You want to bring a frag and I'll see if I can't scrounge up a trade frag?

Tom, they do, but those are the 24hr packs. I got mine from Aquarium Specialty at 10 for $15. That site Clay found seems to have both the heat packs and the boxes, and the boxes are cheaper than I've seen elsewhere.
