Shipping Delay?

I placed an order for a skimmer at MD on wensday the 24th. And i got a tracking number on the 26th. So i thought i would be shipped. I tried to search it and it said not avaliable. And it was shipped 4 days later on the 30th. Is this a normal delay..or was it because of The holiday season. It is now scheduled to arrive on the 3rd of december. I am just wondering if this is normal.

Thank you for ordering with us. What you experienced is normal for the thanksgiving weekend. The package was shipping ground and although we were able to pack it up for you, UPS does not do a Ground pick up on the day after Thanksgiving (only express and 2 day orders). UPS picked up the boxes on Monday night and they are usually trackable the day after the packages are picked up.

We are able to ship most of the orders received before 2 p.m. PST on the same business day. As you have experienced, although we were able to pack it and have it ready for pickup, the following business day, our carriers were not open. You should not experience these delays on normal (non holiday) orders.
