shipping method for zoos

We just got an order in, and that is how they were shipped.. No Water just wet news papers covering them.. Everything looked okay last night. Have not got to see the tank today with the lights on yet.

A few of us just got an order in that was shipped priority mail. The zoos arrived in two days and were fine. I think a lot of people get away with priority mail with zoos. The website that we ordered from, aquaticisland.com, stated that the survival rate of zoanthids shipped priority mail is about the same as other corals shipped overnight.

Yea, ship them on a Monday though.
Have you seen the zoo's today with the lights on?

If so how did they look?

I think there's someone on this forum that could give perfect advice for shipping zoos...

I shipped zoo's a couple times:D ,maybe more and this time of year is perfect for priority shipping, but I still use overnight to be safe. the papertowel method is ok,but I think using water works better and have had more success with water than paper towels !

I was actually thinking about trying aquaticisland. Some of you guys nabbed all the ones I wanted before I could post this last time. They just got some new zoos in again in the last couple days.

Do you have to be present when the mail arrives to sign for it or anything? If they will leave the package on the porch, does that hurt anything?

Gonna drop another $80?

Did yours open yet? Mine are partially open. Some of the polyps look a lot bigger than they did yesterday.

If anybody can verify that I don't have to be present when the mail arrives then I am going to place an order. I'll probably order tomorrow.

That spiky green thing is alive in my tank somewhere Tom! It moved off the rock and now I can't find it! Let's hope he doesn't go on a tear
