Hey,

I recently purchased an order with Liveaquaria and I received a wet cardboard box. Once I opened the box I came to find out that the brain coral's bag completely drained. I drip acclimated the coral and the brain seems to be doing alright, but I am a newbie to the saltwater business and wouldn't know a bad brain from a good brain. What exactly should I look for if he is dying?

Also, I ordered some of the blue mushrooms and they are a purple; is this normal? The mushrooms look healthy I just didn't expect them to be this color.

I love the online store and have no regrets ordering from liveaquaria. I am already thinking about ordering some more coral. I just wanted to make sure the brain would live and that the mushrooms are ok.

We apologize that the bag containing the Brain Worm Platygyra Coral you received was leaking. You will want to check the coral and make sure it is not receding from the skeleton. Excess slime production from the coral can be due to stress and ideal water parameters should be maintained.

The Blue Mushroom can have a color form of blue or purple and this color can appear more vibrant in different lighting conditions.
