Shoal tang & Yellow Tang?

Will a shoal and yellow coexist in a tank? What are some pitfalls of a shoal tang (other than needing a 6 million trillion gallon tank).

It sounds like you were preparing for this anyway, but your 110 will not be suitable for a sohal, AND CERTAINLY NOT A SOHAL WITH ANOTHER TANG! Sohals are beasts that destroy other tangs. If the yellow were established and the sohal introduced, perhaps it would work, but 110 wont be the right size. sorry.

hey cham, i have seen you on the orca board. Shoals are a tough one. this is a fish that shouldnt be in anything say under 500 gallons. They are highly aggressive and territorial. There was a guy on the board who posted about his shoal killing his volitan in a 300 gallon tank. that is how aggressive these guys are. To simple put it, i wouldnt dare try. good luck with what ever you decide.

Hey thor, seen ya around too. I just ran across a smokin deal on some small and large ones. I have heard they need alot of room but just wanted to check before passing on the deal.

I can't tell you how many times I have found SMOKING deals on livestock, I mean $150+ fish for $30 or $40 but they have all been fish that I can't support. Its from a trusted source too(wholesaler).

Ahh well, no biggie. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing anything or hear bad info before passing.

Thanks guys!!!
