What happened to your original nano? I loved the color of that kelp rock you had in it. What color bulb are you using?

In my original Nano it was awesome. I have black sand and beautiful red algae and corals. I had super cool inverts and fish and seahorses. One night my pump failed(the only pump in the tank) Almost everything perished from ack of oxygen. I was so sad. SO, I sold everything left in the tank because I was having a baby only a few weeks later and couldn't restart it at that time. I sure miss my horses though.

Happy to see you back in salt. I am just watching - you do it right and the enthusiasm is great.

Nick

welcome back Amanda.
the tank is looking sweet, are u done buying corals for now?
it looks like u can use some cool looking zoo's :)

Hey Steve!!! No way am I done! However, I have bad news. I thought I had a baby nudi that was a hitchhiker on my live rock, turns out, it's an SPS coral eating nudi!!!!!!! So, now I have to find it and destroy!!!!!!! So, not too sure what to do. It's not like flatworms where I can use something to kill it or them off. Any nudi eating shrimp?

I have been picking off some nudis that are about 3/8 inch long with a Kent Marine Nautilus Sea Squirt Feeding Prong
http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idProduct=KM2711 which is great for many things - target feeding, blowing rocks, shoving things around - most people make the hole larger with small drill - I used a hacksaw do the usual feeding like mysis etc fit thru the hole as well as the nudis which I squeeze the bulb get reallll close to the nudi and let her go - sucks it right up

Also, my little brain doesn't look so good. What should I do. I can't put it in any less lighting, are these guys hard to keep?

Amanda

Amanda, look out for that Echinopora next to the monti cap. Echino's are well known for being aggressive and could nuke that cap with ease. I'd give them more room. :) The Acan Lord needs room too from any neighbor.

Amanda - watch out for your YWG and jumping; mine went carpet surfing in my uncovered tank after a few months. As for the brain, I would give it some time to adjust to your tank--it should bounce back in no time.

The tank looks great!!! :) I looove the echino!

(PS - I got your call, but I have some sory of stomach bug, so I'm not in the mood for talking at the moment...I will call you later, though.)

Great thanks guys!!!! I'll move the echino back farther. Amy, I have no where else to put the lord, you think the trupets are too close?

Kayla, My YWG never even attempted jump in my last tank, and stayed on the bottom all the time. I'll have to get some egg crate I guess. Amy, has Martha attempted a jump?

Does anyone know if the new Sunpod will fit on a Nano cube stand? Are they the same size or is the Sunpod larger?

Robster, I'm not sure of the size on the unit. Try www.nanocustoms.com they may have the dimensions.

Underwaterexotic, I LOVE to see pics of all size tanks!!! Please, can you show just one??????

Kayla and Amy, I moved the Echino back an inch or 2 and I moved the trupet more to the left as well. I'll keep an eye on them!
