Short in Driver

I believe I have a short in one of my drivers on the 6100. The connection where you plug the stream into the driver moves from side to side. I purchased the setup just before xmas. Should I return it to the vendor, or is there another option?
 
I don't understand. Does the driver run the pump? Do you mean the connnector where the pump connects to the driver (blue box) inside, or the socket where the transformer connects to the driver- externally accessible. If it wiggles where the transformer plugs into the driver this is normal. The plug is not secured by screws, it is held in place by the three solder points. If it works, that is all that matters.

Yes, where the pump connrcts to the blue box. The pump has stop running. I purchased the pumps on 12/10/04.
 
Send me the driver only and as soon as it arrives and I inspect it I will send a new one.

Thanks, is there a way to disconnect it from the pump, or do I send it w/ the pump?
 
Yes, just unscrew the four side screws on the driver- 2 on each side and the lid comes off and you can unplug the pump. Please do not loosen the screws on the top L bracket, they hold a heat sink in place.
 
Also, please include a name, phone number, address and email. A short description of the problem or a print out of this thread is useful. Sometimes I get flooded with repairs and some people I last spoke to months ago so it gets very confusing as to whose is what.
 
After unscrewing the lid I see that the connection has come apart on the ends. Only the middle one is holding it together. Will send off today or tomorrow. Thanks.

Yes I did. I should be shipping it back tomorrow. Today just isn't my day, I have had meetings all day and no time to get any work done. Tomorrow all my bookeeping and accounting and tax stuff will be behind me and I can get back to work.
