Shot 16 GA Brad Through My Thumbnail

I've been using nailers regularly since I took Cabinetmaking in high school (about 15 years ago) and this is the first time that I've ever shot myself with one. It's funny how you get comfortable with something and stop thinking about safety. I was more focused on shooting it straight, so I failed on both parts.

I was thinking that it hit another nail and curved weird, but I might have still had it stuck in my thumb and bent it when I jerked away.

Just thought I'd share to possibly get some insults flying. It's been quiet the past few days.

Lol I feel ur pain I'm a framer by trade and shot a nail right through my big toe I was lucky that it missed the bone. It sucks that I lost that shoe tho I had to cut it up to get to the nail. The dam shot from the Dr. to numb it hurt worse. You got to respect the tools man their not forgiving

Seems like you should be wearing steel toes being a framer. I'm a glazier, so I wear these bad boys...

I'm going to brown bag and stain the #2 pine (it makes it look like leather) and stain the oak panels.

Never heard of brown bagging it that kinda like tea bagging lol. Sorry I couldn't resist to throw that one in. I'm interested on seeing how that turns out I made my own myself I'll post some pics so u can see my arts and crafting lol. Oh almost forgot the boots are hot.

Thanks for the compliments. Brown bagging is like wall covering with torn up pieces of brown bags. My boots are more comfortable than most of my running shoes, just real heavy.

Jeff check out Earth magnets for removable panels. I wish I would have used them on mine, TOO LATE!!!

Nice boots! I have only two styles of shoes. Flip flops all summer and work boots all winter. I swear the boots (Georgia's) are more comfortable.

Not bad... you should try putting an astragal on the canopy doors to keep the light from shining through.

So here's what my thumb looks like...

Ever since I cut my thumb pretty bad a while back, my nail has grown weird and the side of my thumb has felt tingly. It's just barely sore now, but the tingling sensation surrounds my thumb from the knuckle up.
