Hey, I am trying to take some pics of my tank with the moon lights on because there are things you can see with them on that i cant during the day. What are some good tips on successfully capture a good picture with the moon lights on, because it is proving quite difficult. maybe post some pics of yours.

Thanks, Elan

dude thats a tough one there , your gonna need a camera that you can manually adjust and they are few and far between or crazy expensive ! moon lights dont give off much light so the aperature has to be tight and the exposure has to be long thus ,you may need to use a tripod to stabilize the camera . i have taken many pictures and with a new digital camera its tough they are so automatic . with a high dollar one they have the diversity to be adjusted in many different ways . good luck merry x mas

nope im a dude its Elan (ee-la-n).
My aunt is kinda a photographer and now i can tell her not to get mad cus it wasnt her fault!. thanks anyway.

You have to minimize movement to as close to zero as possible because of the long shutter speeds. This means turning of your pumps and using a tripod. Higher ISO and high aperture (lower number) helps to get a quicker shutter speed with the lower lighting.

This one was taken with my Panasonic FZ8 at 1.3 second shutter, f/2.8, ISO 100, EV +1/3
